I was recently reviewing past newsletters, particularly those from the very early days of Wenric's. They are filled with optimism, and grand plans. As many know, we closed our retail store at the end of September. We are still trying to dismantle the “old” Wenric's, and raise the “new” Wenric's, but things are looking up! We have heard from many of our clientele who are eager to see us up and running again. We are now offering casting services, and C.A.D. services to create custom jewelry, and should soon be able to offer repair services as well. Rick has been working hard to get the equipment unpacked, organized, and ready for use. I have been writing appraisals, and am looking forward to creating one-of-a-kind jewelry based on my own design style.
At this time we are working from home, on a “by appointment” basis. We hope to be able to find a small office from which we might be able to meet with clients. We expect to keep our web site updated, and will get up to speed on selling online as well.
We have a sizable number of repair, and custom order jobs that were not picked up prior to the closing of the store. We have been trying to contact customers for months, but have been unable to reach many. If you have items that you left for repair, or know someone who might have, please call us so that we can arrange payment and get this jewelry back to it's owners. Some names lack current phone numbers, and addresses; some, like us, were impacted by this terrible economic downturn, and were making payments. Regardless of the situation, we would like very much to reunite jewelry and owners!
We will no longer be selling tools, equipment or supplies, but will instead be concentrating our efforts on custom fine jewelry. We have found that once we have “educated” our clients in the difference between well cut gemstones, and those which are poorly cut, most are ready to have jewelry designed with their design preference, and lifestyle in mind. It can be a fun process to work together to create jewelry that reflects an individual's taste – and is not based on “commercial trends”, or “best sellers”. We can also assist in redesigning jewelry inherited from family and friends into pieces that reflect the current owner's style, yet still honor the emotional connection to the individual's from whom it was inherited. Old or new, we understand the sentimental significance that is often attached to jewelry, and make every effort to acknowledge that attachment.
As
we are now fully immersed in the Christmas Holiday season, we hope
that you enjoy bountiful blessings, and boundless joy! We are all
hoping for a happy, healthy, and prosperous New Year. We really
do miss “long time”, and “new found”
customers/friends alike - and hope to be seeing you in the near
future. Let's face it, Rocky misses his adoring public!
HAPPY HOLIDAYS
Wendy, Rick (and Rocky)
