About Us

Before there was Wenric's, there was Imagination Unlimited. It was started in 1977, as a very small one woman business. It was a starting point to learn the ins and outs of running a small business based on handcrafts. Sales were conducted at Art and Wine Festivals, and at private 'home shows”. Retail experience was acquired through employment at a major department store's fine jewelry department. As her preferences moved more toward one of a kind jewelry, she pursued classes in casting, and  fabrication of jewelry, and stone setting. Concurrently she began her studies with the Gemological Institute of America (GIA), to work toward the goal of a diploma as a Graduate Gemologist (Completed in 1996). Jewelry by Wendy B was sold through Art shows, and by consignment to shops in San Jose, Campbell, Los Gatos, and purchased by a cruise line gift shop.

Rick originally handled the business management aspects of Wendy & Rick's, but soon progressed as an accomplished lapidary. He cut his first cabochon in the 1970's, and it took a while, but that hobby turned into a profession.  More recently, he is our guru in the art of Computer Aided Design of jewelry. With our rapid prototyping program he is able to take a concept for a jewelry style, to fully rendered design, to a final cast, and polished treasure. It's fast, accurate, and cost effective, and brings the creation of custom jewelry into the 21st century.

The most important concept in our business is service. We strive to provide a professional product, in a comfortable atmosphere, by working closely with each client. Working from our home has enabled us to provide services including design, manufsctring, jewelry repair, and appraisal at competitive prices.
